Get perfect ring gaps with a Summit Racing Equipment® electric piston ring filer! If the gaps in your piston rings are too big, you can lose compression (and therefore power), but if they're too small, the ends will butt together as the rings expand to operating temperature, which can be disastrous. The right gap size can vary by ring material, bore size, piston material, and application, but the right tool for grinding rings down to the proper size is a piston ring filer. Summit Racing™ USA-1 piston ring filers are designed for engine builders on a budget who demand accurate and affordable equipment. They're designed and built with American-made materials and perform much better than other filers in their price range. These rings are nearly identical to our Pro Ring filers, but are powered by your drill to save money! USA-1 filers make quick work of even the toughest steel rings. Precision table action allows a full sweep across the grinding wheel face for even wear. The adjustment knob is marked in 0.001 increments to hit your target clearance quickly and confidently. The filing machines come in a wide variety of colors, including premium 2-stage candy finishes to match your shop equipment.

Summit Racing™ Pro Hemi Automotive Camshafts

Summit Racing™ Pro Hemi automotive camshafts are easy on the valvetrain and stable at high rpms. They work well with superchargers and nitrous, and will require springs, a tune, phaser limiter, and an MDS (multi-displacement system) delete. The smaller cams in this group have a noticeable lope and good power across the range, while the larger cams have a serious lope with strong top-end. Choose the one that best fits your purpose. Notes: * Pro Hemi automotive Stage 1 has a noticeable lope and works great in 5.7L as a daily driver. It makes good power through the range, and a tune and phaser limiter are required. A free flowing aftermarket exhaust is recommended. * Pro Hemi automotive Stage 2 has a mild lope and works great in a daily driver. It makes good power through the range, and a tune and phaser limiter are required. A free flowing aftermarket exhaust is recommended. * Pro Hemi automotive Stage 3 has a steady lope and is about the biggest cam to used in a daily driver. It makes great midrange and has good top end. It works with a factory converter, but a tune and phaser limiter are required, and free flowing aftermarket exhaust is recommended. * Pro Hemi automotive Stage 4 has a strong lope and works good in weekend hot rods. It makes great midrange and has very good top end. It is the biggest cam we recommend with a factory converter, and a tune and phaser limiter is required. A free flowing aftermarket exhaust is also recommended. * Pro Hemi automotive Stage 5 (or Stage 4 supercharged) camshafts provide a serious lope, great power in the mid-range, and a strong top-end. These cams require a tune, phaser limiter, an MDS (multi-displacement system) delete, and valve springs capable of .625 lift. We recommend a free flowing aftermarket exhaust and a 2800-3000 converter. Careful attention to piston-to-valve clearance is required. Fly cutting is generally not necessary. * Pro Hemi automotive Stage 6 (or Stage 5 supercharged) camshafts achieve the top stages in each of these groups, providing a serious lope, great power in the mid-range, and a strong top-end. Each of these special cams require a tune, a phaser limiter, an MDS (multi-displacement system) delete, and valve springs capable of .625 lift. We recommend a free flowing aftermarket exhaust and a 3000-3200 converter. Careful attention to piston-to-valve clearance is required. Fly cutting is generally not necessary.
