Hays designed the Twister torque converters to be one step short of being a "Full Race" converter giving you the perfect combination of performance and affordability. Every torque converter is hand built, inspected and tested to ensure they meet the top of the line quality you expect. To ensure consistency and improve performance each converter is built for one transmission with one bolt pattern, meaning a lighter converter to maximize performance. High flow stators promote better cooling and heavy duty Torrington bearings are used to increase strength and durability. Not ready to go a "Full Race" converter, Hays is there for you with their Twister 3/4 Race torque converters.

Hays heavy-duty flexplates for high performance and competition engines are constructed from a thicker-than-stock steel plate. This enables them to withstand the stress of high-stall torque converters and high-rpm engines. While factory stock plates tend to crack around the crankshaft hub when punished under high-torque and rpm conditions, the thicker Hays flexplates can handle the force. These heavy-duty flexplates are supplied with a ring gear that is securely welded in place. All Hays heavy-duty flexplates are zinc-dichromate plated to resist corrosion and SFI-certified under specification 29.1.
