Made for race cars with tube-style chassis, these universal race steering column kits from Competition Engineering feature 3/4 in. x .058 in. wall chromoly steel shafts for lighter weight without sacrificing strength. The inner shaft rides in two flanged polymer bushings that mount to a 1 1/2 in. diameter 6061-T6 aluminum tube. Other features include grease fittings, a stop collar, an SFI-approved quick-release steering hub, a precision needle bearing U-joint, and installation instructions. Combining these parts with a main hoop kit gives you an 8-point roll cage—a modification required in most racing circuits for providing increased cabin safety and side impact protection. Competition Engineering Rear Coilover Shock Kits
These universal kits from Competition Engineering come with 3-way adjustable shocks, upper mounts, and adjustable lower mounts. They work with a variety of applications, including drag race, Pro Street, street rods, and kit cars. The upper mounts are finished in black oxide for welding. The lower mounts have 6 in. of adjustability. The spring perches are finished with a zinc and yellow chromate plating for corrosion resistance. They are designed for use with Competition Engineering rear coilover springs; replacement shocks are sold separately.
