Centerforce TRIAD DS clutch kits have been developed for vehicles requiring a holding capacity of 500 to 1,100 lbs.-ft. of torque at the crank. These patented Drive System (DS) multi-disc clutches are smaller and lighter, offering many features and advantages for quick-revving vehicles, and include pressure plate, discs, floaters, flywheel, pilot bearing, bolts, and tool. Howards Cams Extreme Duty X-Beam Forged Billet Connecting Rods
These Extreme Duty X-Beam forged billet connecting rods are designed to provide the ultimate in strength and durability. These rods start with certified 4340 aircraft-quality steel and are fully CNC-machined on the newest generation of equipment to ensure the removal of all surface imperfections. A precision EDM laser burns a hole from the top of the rod bearing journal to the wrist pin bushing for an extra supply of oil to the piston pin. They are fully stress-relieved and shot-peened to ensure that no stress risers remain. The beam is profiled for weight savings and the cap has been lightened for easier balancing. They are specially heat-treated using a multi-phase process and the rod caps are double-ribbed for added strength. Their rod cap alignment dowels to keep the bearing caps precisely aligned. Howards Cams Extreme Duty X-Beam forged connecting rods are bronze-bushed for floating pins, while 7/16 in. ARP cap screw fasteners secure the caps.

New features on these big block Chevy engines include thicker main webs for increased strength and thicker cylinder walls (nominally .250 in. @ 4.600 in. bore). They can utilize OE roller lifters or +0.300 in. tall aftermarket tie bar lifters. World Products has made improvements to virtually every area of the new Merlin IV engine blocks—with the goal of producing the most technologically advanced and best-performing iron BBC block available today! New features include thicker main webs for increased strength and thicker cylinder walls which are nominally .310 in. @ 4.600 in. bore. In addition to the standard BBC 9.800 in. and 10.200 in. deck heights, new heights measuring 9.500 in., 9.850 in. and 10.250 in. are now available. The World Products Merlin IV engine blocks are also available with a 2.120 in. BBC cam journal and standard .842 in. lifter bores, or with a 2.283 in. journal for a 55mm Babbitt cam and .904 in. lifter bores. World Products has added a front oil feed for dry sump systems, and relocated the lifter oil feeds and restrictor provisions to the front of the blocks.
