Tremec T-5 Manual Transmissions

Introduced in the early 1980s, the Tremec T-5 has become a highly evolved, extremely compact, and versatile 5-speed manual transmission. In its rich history, the T-5 has been installed as original equipment in pickup trucks, SUVs, and performance automobiles. Today, the T-5 is available in its best form to date—sometimes referred to as "world class" or Z spec (from Ford's part number 7003Z). It has a 2.95 first gear with .63 overdrive, hardened gears, short throw factory shifter, steel front bearing retainer, tapered output shaft bearing, and a seven tooth-drive speedometer gear. Best of all, the T-5 transmission has a torque rating of 300 lbs.-ft., making it a perfect option for any moderate powered hot rod, street car, or kit car.
