Offering the same quality and durability as their Industrial Plus Series (without the extra cost of some features), EMAX Industrial Silent Air piston compressors are quiet. One of the most common complaints about compressors is noise. EMAX Silent Air units not only quiet the noise, they also do it with big cfm output and lower rpm. Featuring their Whisper silent air system installed on the back of the tanks, stationary compressor dB ratings are reduced by as much as 25 percent. The Whisper dissipates compressor intake noise by channeling the intake air through a series of baffle plates and prefilter media within the silencer cabinet. Piston intake noise is trapped and dissipated within the silencer; plus, it provides secondary filtration for cleaner air.

Industrial Silent Air compressors are designed for up to 50,000 hours of commercial or industrial use with proper maintenance. At the core of these extremely durable compressors are super-quiet pumps featuring cast iron crankcases, precision-balanced cast iron crankshafts, and high-quality stainless steel roller bearings to ensure smooth, efficient operation. For long life and rebuildability, EMAX adds steel connecting rods with replaceable rod bearing inserts, removable cast iron cylinders and cylinder heads, disc intake and exhaust valves, and cast iron flywheels with built-in fans. These bigger low-rpm pumps have a larger bore and stroke, so you get big cfm output with reduced friction and heat buildup.

Industrial Silent Air compressors have name brand, open-drip (OPD), low-rpm motors (1,750 rpm). Because of their higher torque factor, compared to the 3,450 rpm motors most manufacturers use, they run much cooler. They also yield low harmonic distortion, provide much higher torque in cold weather starting, and require less electricity to start. Other features include big 1 3/8 in. output shafts, large starting and running capacitors, and dynamically balanced armatures. Running and starting windings are all copper-wound for premium efficiency, reliable performance, and durability. Their 15 Service Factor means the motors can be pulled 15 percent over full load. These motors meet all UL and CSA requirements and include pre-wired Condor combination starter and pressure switches with actuation-type diaphragms.
