With all the most important content from the original Magnum, Tremec Magnum XL 6-speed transmissions retain brute strength and sophistication, but eliminate multiple shifter locations and dual speedo outputs. Each XL extended length tail section provides a rigid direct-mount shifter designed to eliminate the semi-remote shifter found in many popular late-model applications, delivering vastly improved performance and lightning quick shifts. Tremec Magnum XL transmissions not only offer shift performance and extended length, but they are also rated at 700 lb.-ft. of torque, support 7,800 rpm shifts, and are available in two gear ratio configurations. The Magnum XL was designed specifically to replace the OEM 5- or 6-speed transmission where performance improvements are desired. Equipped with a manual/automatic valve body, most units allow you to manually shift the vehicle into each gear change or, by placing it in the drive position, remain fully automatic.
