Specially designed for the aftermarket with universal packaging, the TKX 5-speed RWD manual transmission is a power horse for your Ford or GM restomod project. With superior shifts even at high RPMs, the TKX provides extreme durability, excellent shifting performance and a sleek casing for a customizable fit. Like all TREMEC aftermarket transmissions, the TKX is made from 100% brand-new OEM-quality components. General product details: * Bolts up to a standard GM Muncie bellhousing or use a Quicktime bellhousing * The TKX has 600 lbs.-ft. of torque capacity and is capable of engines speeds of 8,000 rpm with shifts at 7,500 rpm. * It is available in multiple gear ratio configurations. * Designed for multiple applications with three shifter locations. Tremec Magnum-F Manual Transmissions
Tremec introduces the Magnum-F 6-speed manual transmissions for fourth-generation Camaros and Firebirds. Designed to replace T-56 transmissions in 1998-2002 GM F-body cars, the Magnum-F leverages Tremec's pervasive TR-6060/Magnum architecture in order to provide fourth-gen enthusiasts significantly improved performance and relief from a shrinking pool of quality T-56 replacement parts. Born in the vacuum created by the release of the original T-56 Magnum (now known simply as 'Magnum') back in 2009, the Magnum-F fills a longstanding void in the overall Magnum line with regard to shifter locations—addressing not only LS1-powered '98-'02 F-bodies, but several other applications that utilize a similar shifter position. Beneficiaries include third-generation F-bodies, LT1-powered fourth-gens, LS-swapped late models of all varieties, and sport compact applications such as A80 Supras, FD RX-7s, and more! Where the original Magnum shifter locations may prove too far forward, and the extended length Magnum XL's too far back, the Magnum-F's in-between position often proves to be just right. Inside, the Magnum-F benefits from the same durable componentry found in many of today's hardest hitting OEM muscle and sports cars. Over the T-56, the Magnum-F transmissions boast increased face-width on all gears, a robust combination of double and triple cone synchronizers, enhanced webbing in the main case, provisions for a cooler circuit, and more! Tremec also took the opportunity to upgrade the shifter to an isolator-type unit, like that found on its Magnum XL. The shifter reduces in-cabin noise and vibrations, while at the same time providing the precise and communicative shift feel that all Magnums are known for. The kingpin of Tremec's high performance lineup, the T-56 Magnum double-overdrive 6-speed manual transmission, takes the very best from Tremec's current OEM technologies and pairs it with the most popular features of the TKO 5-speed. Known in its original equipment form as the 'TR-6060', the Magnum is an aftermarket version of the same transmission found in many of today's most celebrated factory super cars. Able to withstand a massive 700 lbs.-ft. of torque while providing unbelievably crisp shifts, no other manual transmission on the planet offers as much combined strength, versatility, and general ease-of-use as the T-56 Magnum. Tremec Magnum XL 6-Speed Transmissions
With all the most important content from the original Magnum, Tremec Magnum XL 6-speed transmissions retain brute strength and sophistication, but eliminate multiple shifter locations and dual speedo outputs. Each XL extended length tail section provides a rigid direct-mount shifter designed to eliminate the semi-remote shifter found in many popular late-model applications, delivering vastly improved performance and lightning quick shifts. Tremec Magnum XL transmissions not only offer shift performance and extended length, but they are also rated at 700 lb.-ft. of torque, support 7,800 rpm shifts, and are available in two gear ratio configurations. The Magnum XL was designed specifically to replace the OEM 5- or 6-speed transmission where performance improvements are desired. Simplifying the swap, they include an SFI-approved steel bellhousing, crossmember, trans mount, isolated shifter, and shift ball. They also reuse the OEM hydraulic clutch release system.
