Transform your Fox Body's handling with a RideTech 1979-93 Mustang Independent Rear Suspension System. It's no secret that independent rear suspensions (IRS) are superior in almost every way over a stick axle. The biggest concerns are cost and ease of installation. This independent rear suspension system replaces the stock live design with tubular upper and lower control arms utilizing custom-made spindles with S550 Mustang hubs. Camber, roll center, and toe angles were also optimized for greatly increased handling. The bolt-in design requires no welding for installation, as the IRS cradle is designed to mount to the rear frame rails and modified factory mounting points. If you want to optimize the rear suspension of your Fox Body Mustang, do it with this highly engineered IRS system so you can hit the track or street with confidence. Key features and benefits: * High-quality, no compromises manufacturing * Durable powdercoat finish for great looks and corrosion resistance * 100 percent bolt-in design requires minimal modifications * Lowers stance approximately 2 inches—reduces center of gravity without adversely affecting suspension geometry * Reduces upsprung weight creates premium ride quality * Low roll center (5 in.)—one degree of camber gain and zero bump steer inspires confident cornering for improved suspension geometry over OE suspension design and much more enjoyable to drive * 50 percent anti-squat provides excellent traction * Delrin control arm bushings eliminate deflection—no wheel hop, and no noise and no lubrication of bushings required * Retains factory track width * Compatible with mini-tubs (cradle attaches to the inside of the frame rails) * Modular design—works with Ridetech coil-overs or ShockWaves (sold separately), HQ and TQ (Triple Adjustable) versions are also available * Spindles include Moog S550 Mustang rear hubs for maximum strength, consistent braking and reduced maintenance Fitment Information: * Uses S550 (2015+) Mustang differential (not included)—new units can be purchased from Ford Performance, and Takeout units are also available * Uses shortened S550 (2015+) Mustang axles (not included)—standard strength are available from RideTech * Allows direct bolt-on of both stock SN95 Cobra (1999-2004) or S550 (2015+) rear OE or aftermarket brakes via Ridetech caliper brackets. * Works with 1999-2004 Cobra cat-back exhaust * Requires shortened drive shaft and pinion flange to U-joint adapter (use Sonnax part T35-ALFY-09 or T35-ALFY-10) * Works with Ridetech coilovers or Shockwaves, sold separately * Optional adjustable rate rear sway bar is available for additional fine-tuning

RideTech 1979-93 Mustang bolt-in SLA (Short-Long-Arm) front suspension systems replace the stock McPherson strut design with a billet aluminum upper control arm, tubular lower arm and spindles with S550 Mustang hubs. The factory strut design offers very little camber gain and poor overall geometry. This design greatly improves negative camber gain, which positions the tire perpendicular to the pavement through the corners without the need for excessive static camber and overly stiff spring rates. Caster, roll center and Ackerman angles were also optimized. These suspension systems are compatible with either Ridetech coilovers or Shockwave air suspension (sold separately). SLA front suspension systems are available in two fitment styles: * To fit STOCK K-Members (except 84-86 SVO) * To fit many AFTERMARKET K-Members, including Maximum Motorsports, Team Z, AJE and UPR Additional product features: * Incorporates an upper control arm to induce much-needed negative camber gain * Caster, roll center, bump steer and Ackerman angles are optimized * Bolt-in frame surrounds create attachment points for the upper control arms and the shocks. This keeps the load on the frame rails for maximum strength and reduced NVH * Upper and lower arms feature Delrin© bushings infused with PTFE to minimize stiction and eliminate the need for lubrication * Spindles include Moog S550 Mustang rear hubs for maximum strength, consistent braking and reduced maintenance * Lower control arm design improves tire clearance and steering angle 30 degrees with up to a 275mm wide tire Fitment: * Uses S550 (15-23) or SN95 (94-04) Mustang brake systems (caliper brackets sold separately) * 17 in. minimum wheel diameter * Compatible with stock and most aftermarket sway bars Specifications: * Negative camber gain: 1.25 degrees/in. * Positive caster: 7-9 degrees * Bump steer: under .050 in. * Lowers ride height: 1-2 in. * 50 lbs. lighter than stock suspension * Stock track width
