Kooks Headers Header and High Output GREEN Catted Connection Kits are performance exhaust upgrades for a vehicle, consisting of long-tube exhaust headers and high-output, EPA-verified catalytic converters (the "GREEN Cats") integrated into a connection pipe. They are application-specific, designed for a particular vehicle model and year—and are engineered to improve engine power, torque, and sound by allowing the engine to "breathe" more easily, while still meeting emissions standards. The "GREEN" designation refers to the specific type of high performance catalytic converter with a lower 400 CPSI substrate, making it suitable for high-horsepower applications. Kits are available with 1 7/8 in. or 2 in. primary tube outside diameter. Key components and features: * Headers: These are long, mandrel-bent tubes made from 304 stainless steel that replace the restrictive factory exhaust manifolds. * High-Output GREEN Catted Connection Pipes: These are the pipes that connect to the headers and feature Kooks' Ultra High Performance GREEN Cats. * High-Output GREEN Cats: These are high-flow catalytic converters designed to reduce emissions while handling high horsepower levels. * Installation Hardware: The kit includes all necessary gaskets, clamps, and hardware, and in some cases, oxygen sensor extension harnesses, for a complete installation. * OEM Connection Point: The connection pipes are designed to bolt up to the vehicle's factory exhaust system. * Application-Specific Design: Kooks provides these kits for a variety of vehicles, such as Mustangs and Dodge Challengers, to ensure a proper fit and optimal performance

Kooks Headers long tube headers are heavy-duty and crack-resistant, featuring large diameter stainless steel construction (most applications) with smooth-flowing mandrel-bent tubing. They include gaskets, bolts, and oxygen sensor extensions where required. Also available as kits with connection pipes, depending on the application, Kooks long tube header kits include individual connection pipes, a Y-pipe, X-pipe, or H-pipe to connect to the exhaust system. X-pipes are used primarily for high-rpm performance and race applications. H-pipes create lower end power and are used on street cars for increased performance with a comfortable sound level. These connection pipes are offered in three versions: * Off-road (non-catted) for full track use with no horsepower loss and the loudest exhaust tone * With high-flow catalytic converters; recommended for street driving with little or no horsepower loss and a deeper exhaust tone * With Kooks ultra-high performance GREENCATS catalytic converters; designed for naturally aspirated and forced induction engines up to 900 hp, eliminates most "Check Engine Light" warnings Note: Kooks Headers long tube headers and connection pipes may not be legal for sale, installation, or use in some areas.
