Each Nova subframe and suspension kit comes with the necessary parts to upgrade the IFS system on your Nova. These subframe and suspension kits are designed with a bolt-in installation, making this modification simple, even the motor mounts are already welded in place. Simply unbolt your existing front end and bolt-on the new subframe—even the stock radiator bolts right up! Heidts Superide Independent Front Suspension Kits
Independent front suspension gives you twice the ride of a new 4-link dropped axle at a comparable cost. These Heidts Superide independent front suspension packages have been engineered for a correct, safe ride, while providing the ultimate stance. They feature a one-piece crossmember with upper control arms that clear the fenders, and their 56 in. hub-to-hub tread width gives you the narrow look without any tire-to-fender clearance problems. The packages include specially designed one-piece 1045 heat-treated alloy steel spindles to give you the lowest possible ride available, the high-tech appearance you want, and assurance of the right geometry, right fit, and a great ride. Nearly a hundred packages are available to fit applications from the 1920s and up. Heidts Mustang II Crossmembers
Make your IFS stock upgrade a natural conversion with Heidts Mustang II crossmember kits. They are precut and pre-fitted, so you'll have no measuring, no grinding, no trimming, and no mistakes! Heidts crossmember kits are ready to install when you are. Main crossmembers are constructed from only two formed pieces for maximum strength with an accurate fit and feature the strong design of vertical inner uprights offering twice the weld area to keep your frame from twisting. Crossmembers and spring towers with built-in anti-dive are pre-welded to fit your frame and one-piece shock cups are TIG-welded in place. Kit components may vary by application, but most include all of the special, hard-to-make brackets and mounts that you need to complete the install. Heidts kits retain the original suspension to give you the correct design, correct camber action, and no bump steer! Everything is pretty much done but the installation--that, you'll have to do yourself! But never fear--Heidts Mustang II crossmembers include a step-by-step, fully-illustrated instruction book to walk you through your install.
