These clamps are designed to compensate for fluctuations in all types of hose line assemblies, preventing leaks, and they cannot be over/under-tightened. When temperature and/or pressure changes cause hose lines to expand or contract, these clamps adjust accordingly to provide consistent band tension. Popular applications are turbo and air charge cooling systems. They require less time for assembly, and constant-tension bands can be used in applications where a lower clamping force is sufficient.
