Radium Engineering PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valves are not simple one-way check valves. Radium's valves have an internal plunger that dynamically meters the appropriate amount of crankcase vent airflow based on current engine load, preventing the "vacuum leak" that a check valve would create at low loads. Also, in the event of a backfire, these PCV valves prevent combustible vapors from igniting in the crankcase. Offered in two outlet sizes, Radium PCV valves feature 6061 aluminum construction with a durable Type-II anodized finish and include sealing O-rings. Redhorse Performance 4153 Series 0 psi crankcase check valves use a PTFE ball to seal and prevent backflow of fluids. These aluminum fittings have AN male inlet/outlet threads, are E85 flex fuel and methanol compatible, and can be used for many other vehicle applications where a check valve is needed. The valves are available in -6, -8, and -10 AN sizes, with a black, blue, or clear finish.
