TransGo Performance offers a variety of automatic transmission rebuild components—including pressure regulator valves for hundreds of applications, such as cars, trucks, and vans from Pontiac, BMW, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer, Cadillac, Saturn, Oldsmobile, Daewoo, Saab, Isuzu, Buick, Avanti from the 1990s and up. These drop-in replacement valves correct, prevent, and reduce pressure rise shift quality issues. TransGo Oversized Pressure Regulator Valves
TransGo Performance offers oversized pressure regulator valves for a variety of automatic transmissions that have worn regulator valve bores. These replacement valves are larger than the original part and are designed to be installed after the bore is reamed, restoring proper hydraulic control and fixing issues like low line pressure, harsh shifts, and slipping clutches. Additional details: * Corrects, Prevents, Reduces: -- Extreme or low pressure due to worn pressure regulator bore -- Restores proper pressure regulator function * Engineered with longer valve lands for increased durability and longevity and machined for full-time line-to-lube * Oversized for extremely worn bores and/or high mileage vehicles * New pressure regulator spring delivers increased line pressure to compensate for warp and wear What they do: * Correct worn bores: The primary function is to repair damage from wear in the pressure regulator valve bore within the transmission pump * Restore line pressure: By compensating for the wear, the oversized valve and new spring restore the correct line pressure needed for the transmission to shift properly * Address transmission problems: Installing these valves can fix a variety of symptoms caused by worn bores, including: -- Harsh or soft shifting -- Torque converter clutch (TCC) slip -- Burnt clutches or planetary gears -- Overheating or burnt fluid Installation process: * The transmission pump bore must first be reamed to the correct size for the oversized valve. * The oversized valve and a new, calibrated spring are then installed, which often restores hydraulic integrity. * This is typically a more cost-effective solution than replacing the entire transmission pump

TransGo Oversized S4 Regulator Valves
TransGo's new oversized S4 regulator valves GM 8L45 and 8L90 solve significant wear issues at the S4 regulator valve position. When General Motors made a change to the S4 regulator valve in both the 8L45 and 8L90 transmissions, the updated 2-land design and computer command strategy resulted in significant increased wear, even at low mileage.
