When the accelerator pedal is depressed all the way to the floor (past the normal full accelerator position), the transmission will automatically engage kickdown—immediately shift down to a lower gear. Summit Racing™ Front Needle Bearing Control Arm Bushings
Summit Racing™ front needle bearing control arm bushings ensure smooth operation. Our bushings feature needle roller bearings and thrust bearings. They are designed to OE dimensions except for length. The bushings are slightly shorter to accommodate the variations in the OE frames, and the length can be shimmed to accomplish the correct fit and corrected location of lower control arms side to side. Bushing inserts are machined to give proper preload on the thrust bearings, and they are hardened to prevent mushrooming and galling. Get your automatic race shifter up off the tunnel where you can easily reach it with our Summit Racing™ floor mounted shifter platforms. These mounts allow you to raise your automatic transmission shifter up off the floor to give you a closer reach, which allows better control and convenience. There are two styles available: a .090 in. aluminum platform or a tubular mild steel pedestal. The aluminum versions are formed from .090 in. unfinished material and are available in 3.5 in. or 5 in. stationary heights. The steel pedestal versions are adjustable and removable with a quick-release pin and will go as high as 8 in. Both styles will require some holes to be drilled and possibly other fabrication. Mounting hardware is not included.
