DEI Boom Mat Flex Damping Materials
DEI's Boom Mat Flex damping materials are for applications which require a damping material that can conform to odd shapes and tighter bends than the standard Boom Mat. This product is made from the same high-quality 2.5mm thick butyl rubber, but with a clear poly surface—and it can be used to form around tight curves, inside wheel wells, around tubing and pipes, and other areas where Boom Mat aluminum may not conform easily. The aggressive adhesive backing allows this flex material to be shaped and secured firmly around any surface, reducing noise and vibration, while adding cooling insulation for a quieter more comfortable interior. DEI Floor and Tunnel Shields II add a new dimension to heat control with minimal clearance needed--only 3/16 in.! Constructed utilizing an embossed aluminum face bonded to a composite fiberglass insulation and backed with an aggressive adhesive that holds past 450 degrees F, these barrier sheets are capable of handling direct temperatures up to 1,750 degrees F. The shields are tough enough for under-vehicle applications. They're also great as a sound barrier, blocking out up to 50 percent of unwanted road noise.
