These new clean sheet designed aftermarket blocks are cast in a modern state-of-the-art German foundry on brand new molds and machined in USA on modern high-speed machining centers that can hold the tightest of tolerances. Why start your engine build with a dirty, old, worn-out production block that needs hundreds or thousands of dollars of machine work--when you can start with a new heavy-duty casting full of high-performance features. We ship these blocks mostly finished but leave the cylinder bore .005" undersize, your machine shop will have to hone them for proper size. Howards Cams Reaper billet steel crankshafts are more robust than most because they have a uniform and non-stress grain structure. These cranks start with E4340 aircraft-quality bar stock material and are precision CNC-machined. They feature bearing journals with large fillet radii (chamfered bearings required) and weight-reducing holes in all rod journals. Reaper crankshafts are available for fitment in a variety of big block applications. These heads feature A356 aluminum castings that are heat-treated to T-6 specs for superior casting strength and quality. Their modern combustion chamber design helps to improve the combustion process and their larger-than-stock intake and exhaust ports help to move more air through your engine. These features improve an engine's efficiency, resulting in more horsepower and torque and improved mileage potential. All Edelbrock E-Street cylinder heads are assembled with manganese bronze valve guides, powder metal interlocking valve seats, and stainless steel one-piece valves with hardened valve tips. Edelbrock E-Street cylinder heads are ideal for entry level street performance engines.

Chevrolet Performance LSX-SC cylinder heads are developed for big-boost levels and high-horsepower engines. Undergoing a Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP), this process is a way of casting that removes the air pockets while improving the mechanical properties of the components. LSX-SC cylinder heads are the same ones you'll see on Chevrolet's COPO 350 engine. They're available in three different configurations: as-cast; bare with CNC-machined features; or fully assembled CNC-machined cylinder heads complete with valves and springs.
