Hays Twister Full Race Torque Converters feature a custom-designed anti-balloon plate to stop any converter ballooning and swelling in racing situations. These torque converters are designed for use with a trans-brake and great for power adders such as nitrous, superchargers, and turbos. They're available with various RPM stall speed offerings to accommodate any mixture of modifications—including higher compression ratios, aftermarket camshafts, aftermarket cylinder heads, lower gear ratios, and vehicle weight loss. The downsizing of modern passenger car engines enables reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, but can also increase rotational irregularities and natural vibrations. Torsional vibrations transmitted to other components in the drivetrain diminishes comfort and may even lead to component damage, therefore effective vibration damping is essential. LuK dual mass flywheels (DMF) reliably dampen torsional vibrations in the powertrain and ensure high gearshift and driving comfort in all speed ranges. Centerforce TRIAD XDS clutch kits supply triple disc clutches developed for vehicles requiring a holding capacity of 500 to 1,200 ft.-lbs. of torque at the crank. For superior clamp load the billet pressure plates feature their patented centrifugal weight system (where applicable), while the patented ball bearing-actuated pressure plate (where applicable) provides light pedal effort. TRIAD XDS disc packs are equipped with metallic friction material for increased holding capacity and they are available in either sprung or solid hub styles, depending on application.
