ACT Mod-Twin 225 heavy-duty twin-disc street clutch kits are designed to tackle aggressive launches and rapid shifting of high powered AWD's—by combining twice the organic friction surfaces with a no-nonsense solid mono-drive hub in a completely modular design. Each diaphragm spring endures an exclusive 4-stage heat treating process to provide a more consistent light pedal feel. The puck-style friction plates, with high-quality organic materials, deliver high friction coefficient, superior heat capacity, and long clutch life. These friction plates uniformly transfer torque to a mono-drive chromoly hub, which is heat-treated for strength and durability, extending input shaft life with one continuous spline. The lightweight, rigid design allows for quicker shifts and trouble-free service. Clutch kits are available in different styles and other options for fitment on countless vehicles from the early 2000s and up. Features and benefits: * Recommended for drag, road, or rally racing use * Predictable aggressive engagement, light pedal effort, smooth shifting, possible start-off judder with OE to mild transmission gear noise * Forged aluminum cover, mono-drive hub, exclusive diaphragm, premium friction materials, and hardened wear points ensure this long-life twin performs and survives under the most demanding conditions * Delivers maximum performance and high heat tolerance by combining robust design, strategic features, choice materials, and close tolerances * 100 percent clamp load tested, balanced, and SFI certified Kit contents: * Forged aluminum pressure-plate cover * CNC-machined and dynamically balanced flywheel * Diaphragm spring and face * Puck-style organic friction plates * Available with sprung or unsprung mono-drive hub assembly * Floater * Patented mono-Loc collar * Release bearing * Alignment tool and pilot bearing (if needed) Note: Mod-Twin clutches are fully rebuildable and most components can also be ordered separately, if you do not need to purchase complete kit.
