Blue Ox Patriot flat tow brake kits are all-electric, self-contained, and designed to make towing safe and easy. Featuring a smaller profile and a lighter design than the previous model, these Patriot brakes will work for you whether you are towing a full size SUV, pickup truck, compact car, a hybrid, or towing multiple vehicles with different floor pan configurations. Blue Ox Patriot brake kits feature a compact, dash-mounted, in-cab controller that adjusts the braking force, overrides automatic braking, monitors brake function, and provides breakaway visual and audio alerts. Everything you need is in the box and setup is quick and easy. Simply, attach the brake claw, plug in the power cord and breakaway switch, push the setup button. Patriot will cycle once, the indicator light will illuminate, and you are ready to go. With reduction ratios as high as 251:1, that means pulling power all the way up to a rated 15,000 lbs.—plenty of steam to get you or someone else unstuck. All models offer free-spooling, automatic load-holding brakes, and 4-way roller fairleads, as well as fully integrated, weather-resistant solenoid assemblies. In addition, both the motor and solenoid are grounded directly to the battery. These winches come with either a 12 ft. cable-type controller, or a wireless remote.
