Scat engine rotating assemblies are available with either a high-quality Scat forged 4340 crankshaft or Scat's Series 9000 cast crankshaft, plus I-beam or H-beam connecting rods with 7/16 in. or 3/8 in. cap screw bolts. For maximum power and reliability, Scat adds rod and main bearings from King, Federal Mogul, or Clevite 77, depending upon the application—and pistons and piston rings made by such well-known manufacturers as SRP/JE, Ross, KB, Mahle, Diamond, and Probe. Summit serpentine belt systems start with a CNC-machined, 1/2 in. thick, 6061 T6 billet aluminum face plate, which has positive belt adjusting holes for both the alternator and A/C pump, plus beveled edges and a machined Summit logo.
