Trick Flow® GenX® 260 square port cylinder heads for GM LS7 are the best choice for your LS-based performance build for several reasons. The A356-T6 aluminum castings feature more material for increased rigidity and strength. Factory LS7 port locations, valve angles, and valve locations have been maintained to work with existing intakes and pistons. One-piece modular, 2024-T4 billet aluminum rocker arm mounts enhance valvetrain stability and are removable for shaft rocker setups. High flow, high velocity CNC Competition Ported runners with the premium high resolution surface finish provide all-out air flow and performance throughout the entire powerband. Plus there's clearance for 3/8" pushrods and through-deck coolant holes that fit all GM LS gasket and block combinations, Trick-Alloy™ powdered metal valve guides, and solid stem valves. These CNC-machined aluminum Fast Burn cylinder heads from Chevrolet Performance are designed for 1958-2000 283-400 c.i.d. Chevy V8s. They quickly and completely burn the air/fuel mixture, ensuring higher cylinder pressure and more power. No additional porting is required--Chevrolet Performance Parts' cast-ported technology gives these heads maximum performance right out of the box. They're drilled and tapped for Vortec and raised port manifolds, they accept flange-mount or centerbolt-style valve covers, and will support in excess of 500 HP.

Trick Flow engineers used the best features of OEM GM LS3 and LS7 cylinder heads, combined with their own race-winning engineering and technology, to create the GenX® 255—the ultimate ultimate square port LS cylinder head for 4.000" and larger bore engines. The heads feature fully CNC Competition Ported runners with a premium high resolution surface finish for maximum airflow and performance potential. Stock LS3 ports accommodate LS3-style intake manifolds and LS9/LSA blower assemblies. The valve angles have been changed from 15° to 12° to increase piston-to-valve clearance and allow the use of larger camshafts. The coolant holes through the head deck were redesigned to work with all LS head gasket and engine block combinations. GenX 255 heads are available with standard or 6-bolt per cylinder mounting patterns. Trick Flow engineers altered the valve angles from 15° to 13.5° to decrease valve shrouding, increase mid-lift airflow, and improve rocker arm-to-valve cover clearance. Ford Performance Parts teamed up with Jon Kaase to redesign their 429 Cobra Jet cylinder heads, and the results are these Super Cobra Jet heads. They feature revised valve angles and locations to reduce cylinder wall shrouding and improve flow, along with redesigned combustion chambers to accommodate the more centrally located valves. These heads use the same valves, valve springs, retainers, and 7/16 in. stud-mounted roller rockers as the current Ford Performance Parts 429 Cobra Jet heads, and the standard Cobra Jet intake and exhaust manifolds bolt right on. This new design offers a 25-50 HP increase over current Cobra Jet heads, depending upon displacement and camshaft.
