Each kit features an increased clamp load pressure plate, 9.5 in. premium-faced organic or metallic clutch discs, and a RAM surface-ground and balanced billet steel flywheel. The pressure plate provides a silky-smooth clutch pedal feel, while the dual disc provides additional holding capacity when compared to single disc systems. RAM Concept 9.5 units also utilize a sprung hub top disc that helps dampen and quiet the initial clutch engagement, plus a strap driven floater plate eliminates any floater plate rattle concerns. RAM has developed these dual disc push-type conversion C4 Corvette clutch kits to replace the factory pull-style unit with a conventional single or dual disc push-style package. Each conversion kit comes with the necessary components to convert your car from "pull-style" to the more conventional "push-style" actuation. You have the choice of either a steel or aluminum flywheel in either a one-piece or two-piece seal configurations. RAM truck pulling clutch kits are custom-assembled for your specific application. These units feature a heavy-gauge steel cover with welded spring guides and a steel pressure ring. Flywheels are available in 30 or 40 lb. weights, as well as in billet aluminum. The clutches can be set up with either 5135 or 5191 compound iron discs with 1 to 10 splines. Single disc slipper-style clutches can be used with engines producing up to 800 hp, or where very limited slipping is desired. These clutches utilize the same quality components as the RAM dual disc pulling clutches. These units can be assembled with your choice of sintered iron disc materials and flywheel weights. Dual disc clutches will allow a more controlled slip as the vehicle comes out, without severe wear or every-round maintenance. Dual disc clutches are built to fit different stock depths or deep bellhousings.
