MSD Programmable Digital-7 Plus CD Ignitions

MSD Programmable Digital-7 CD Plus ignitions have an output power and Individual Cylinder Management timing system that are hard to beat. At the heart of these ignitions is a 15 MHz micro-controller that analyzes and manages every trigger signal. Their capacitive discharge circuits and state-of-the-art IGBT coil drivers work together to deliver a potent spark that can easily handle high cylinder pressures. Below 3,300 rpm, a series of sparks burn in the cylinder over 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation, producing a smooth idle with great throttle response. You can control all of this spark energy through an array of timing and rpm programs. These programs include: Individual cylinder timing that can program up to 10 degrees per cylinder in .1 degree increments, a launch retard that lets you retard the timing up to 15 degrees for 0-2.5 seconds after the launch, a launch timing curve, and a run curve enabling you to plot a timing curve in .1 degree increments per 100 rpm. They also feature a three-step retard, a gear retard that can retard timing up to 5 degrees with every gear change, a start retard, three rev limiters, a shift light, and an rpm-activated window switch. You can also map a complete timing curve for every gear, set stage retards to ramp timing, see updated X-Y plots with interpolation for smooth changes, view all ignition events in a new Launch History window, acquire 20 seconds of run data including two seconds prior to launch, program an rpm that is ramped in during the launch, and select vacuum advance and boost retard through a MAP sensor. They can be used on 4, 6, or 8-cylinder engines, and are supplied with the Pro-Data Plus software, PC harness, vibrations mounts, and wiring. Ford 4.6L/5.4L modular 3-valve engines found in 2005 and newer Mustangs are all the rage. So the question on everyone's mind becomes, "How can I further improve the performance of these powerful engines?" COMP Cams XFI VSR Modular 3V (Valve Springs Required) Camshafts deliver a great power improvement over stock levels. Nitrous Express EFI Single Nozzle Nitrous Systems

It used to be that big horsepower increases required major internal engine modifications. However, Nitrous Express has a way that's a whole lot easier--and cheaper. Just bolting one of their EFI single nozzle nitrous systems onto your domestic or import can add from 35 to 150 hp to a V8, with intermediate choices of 50, 75, and 100 hp (with a maximum of 75 hp for fours and sixes.) These systems rely on a Nitrous Express Shark performance nozzle and will work with standard fuel pumps, without any timing retard. The kits include the nitrous bottle, nozzle, hoses, solenoids, wiring, and mounting hardware.

MSD DIS-4 Plus HO Digital Ignitions

DIS-4 Plus HO digital ignitions are higher-output versions of the DIS ignition controls from MSD. They're designed for full race engines running high boost pressures from turbos, blowers, or nitrous. Their increased output will light up fuel mixtures even under these extreme cylinder pressures. Your late model distributorless ignition system will never be the same! The capacitive discharge ignitions feature multi-channel capability, complemented with multiple sparks, two rev limiters, and a timing control. These DIS ignitions are engineered with the latest in digital science, including power MOSFET technology and efficient IGBT coil drivers. They're managed by a 15 MHz micro-controller for extremely fast compensations and decisions. In the end, this creates incredibly accurate spark delivery, rev limiting, and timing functions. Throttle response and mid-range pull are also improved, due to a series of powerful multiple sparks that last for 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation. There is a two-step rev limiter, which gives you one limit to set for holeshots and another for top-end performance. For engines using nitrous or extremely high cylinder pressures, you can also program a high-speed retard after the engine hits total timing. Both of these features are easy to adjust with the new built-in rotary dials. They also feature an ignition interrupt that will prevent the engine from starting by disabling the output to the coil, a retard feature that retards the timing at the top end to prevent detonation, and an LED monitor that will alert you of a low supply of voltage or faulty input signals. Also, there is now a true step retard that can be activated through your nitrous solenoid wiring! The DIS-4 HO Plus digital ignitions are designed for 6 or 8-cylinder engines with three or four coil packs.
