Manufactured from billet 300M aerospace material with an integrated positive locking design—all while achieving 50 degrees of steering—they're the next best thing in stub shaft technology… and the last stub shafts you'll ever need. These 1480 40 spline stub shafts are designed to work with 60 style U-joints and Spidertrax 40 spline Ultimate Unit Bearings. * Aerospace Quality: Spidertrax follows the strictest AMS Aerospace standards for their heat treatment, complete with double tempering, snap tempering, and cryogenic treatment procedures. Parts are sampled to ensure proper grain structure is achieved up to 0.0003 in. from the surface; that's a depth 1/10 the thickness of a human hair! In summary, you're getting the best material and the best heat treatment on the market. * Locked: Turning 40 degrees is impressive, but Spidertrax axle shafts can turn 50 degrees. Engineers achieved this by positively locking the shaft to the Ultimate Unit Bearing with a billet aluminum cap and cap screw. Keeping that stub shaft tightly secured not only helps with driveline vibration, but helps with overall strength of shaft and U-joint. * 40 Splined: Each stub shaft is 40 splined—a size that makes perfect sense, especially when running properly paired inner axle shafts. When sized with the same shaft diameter as inner shafts, stub shafts end up taking the full punishment in your front-end. The stub shaft should be "stronger" than an inner axle because unlike an inner axle, stub shafts have little room to twist, making them more prone to failure. An added bonus: with many drivers running 40 splined rear Ultimate Unit Bearings, having the same unit bearing up front makes for better serviceability and part simplicity.

Years after releasing their successful Rock Assault 9 axle housing, Trail-Gear decided to add a Toyota 8 in. version to the Rock Assault lineup. This housing is built to the same specifications as the Rock Assault 9 axles; however, they're built to accept the popular Toyota 8 in. differential. These housings have been tested in W.E. Rock, CalRocs, and King of the Hammers—so you know they'll stand up to the toughest terrain on earth. Trail-Gear started with a 1/4 in. thick formed shell for the center section made from A36 steel. This is a high-strength, low alloy, structural steel plate with a minimum yield strength of 36,000 psi. All of this is attached to an equally strong 1/2 in. thick faceplate for anchoring the DOM axle tubes. The axle tubes are secured by the industry's first 3-Point Attachment System, giving the tubes superior support and engagement into the center section. Trail-Gear also faces the center section to ensure your differential mounts flush against the axle housing to prevent any leaks. Rock Assault Fabricated 8 Housings are offered with 3.5 in. O.D. axle tubes with your choice of 1/4 in. or 3/8 in. wall thickness. NOTE: The housing is shipped with no ends. Housing ends must be sourced and installed to complete axle. Portal style ends are commonly used for this application.

Available in a variety of styles, lengths, and shaft sizes, they come complete with a gearshift knob, billet dress up kit (tilt, turn signal lever, and hazard knob), GM wiring (4 1/4 in. connector), and removable 12-position linkage arm. The columns are manufactured from high-quality 304 grade stainless steel, will never rust, and are available in a variety of finishes—including a paintable mill finish, black powdercoated, spray chromed, or polished to a high luster. Mill finish columns are shipped chemically clean and can be painted to match or highlight an interior with only minor preparation. A combination neutral safety switch/back-up light (sold separately) must be ordered with the column, except for select models that include a switch. Select units include an integrated ignition key located at the 3 o'clock position, with no welded-on attachments or extra relays required. FTI Performance SST Series custom-order torque converters are available for use with a variety of transmissions, including Powerglide, THM350, and THM400. The 9 in. units are used by top drag racers. A torque converter is what transmits torque from the engine to a rotating driven load. It's a type of fluid coupling which allows the engine to spin somewhat independently of the transmission. SST Series torque converters are available with a 0-blade stator for a turbo spline, or the looser 6T stator model.

Mahle PowerPak pistons are forged pistons with steel pins and wire locks. The pistons are hand-deburred and then coated with dry phosphate to protect against ring micro-welding and pin galling during initial startup. For additional performance, Mahle added its proprietary Grafal anti-friction coating to the piston skirts. Part numbers with T on the end have a cutting edge ceramic-based thermic barrier. The barrier is resistant to thermal shock, insulates the piston crown, and reduces heat transfer to increase performance. Doug's Headers has long been recognized of as one of the premiere exhaust header manufacturers in the performance industry. Since1958, they have been producing high-quality, hand-built, mandrel-bent exhaust headers. Each and every header is tuned with the proper tube size and length to efficiently remove all of the exhaust from each cylinder, reducing pumping losses, and resulting in dramatic increases in horsepower and torque. Doug's headers are carefully developed on the vehicles that they are intended to fit and are re-checked numerous times during the design and manufacturing process. Their designs include mid-length headers, Tri-Y headers, and long tube headers, plus manifold replacement headers. Their headers come with all the necessary mounting hardware, collector reducers or connector pipes, premium extra-thick gaskets, and detailed installation instruction sheets. The gaskets are rated up to 1100 degrees F, pressures to 3700 psig (255 bar), and are designed for an exact port match with their headers. Doug's Headers offer a choice of finishes: * Metallic Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating (MCTBC), which is polished with a vibratory finishing process that not only produces a high-luster aluminum appearance, but also compresses and activates the coating, which increases the surface hardness. The finish is 60 percent more corrosion resistant than an unpolished surface, easy to maintain, and will last for years under normal operation conditions. MCTBC also protects and extends the life of headers by creating a thermal barrier that significantly lowers under hood temperatures and protects the substrate metal from thermal fatigue. * Hi-Temp black coating is an affordably priced alternative to their MCTBC. This finish provides good corrosion and heat protection when compared to many of the "cheaper" header finishes being applied by our competitors. * Raw steel is available for individual customizing Unless otherwise noted, these headers are designed to fit the vehicle as it came from the manufacturer. This includes components like cylinder heads, chassis, steering, motor mounts, body mounts and bushings, etc. If your vehicle is using aftermarket components, parts from other applications, or custom altered parts, then it is the installer's responsibility to verify fitment.
