TeraFlex Alpha HD hinged spare tire carrier/adjustable spare tire mount kits are designed to accommodate up to a 40 in. tire and will secure your full-size spare tire over the most extreme trails and rugged terrain. They also allow easy access to the rear cargo area in one smooth action. Spanning nearly the width of your Jeep's tailgate for better weight distribution, the Alpha HD carrier's design features a one-piece, forged steel hinge that ties the top and bottom factory hinge locations together as well as additional vertical braces for increased strength and durability, eliminating stress from the tailgate. Although the Alpha HD adjustable spare tire mount can be used alone, it has been designed to be installed in conjunction with the Alpha HD hinged spare tire carrier. The adjustable mount includes a quick-release third brake light mount and rearview camera mount. The adjuster is made from strong and lightweight A356.2 T6 cast aluminum, the spare tire mount is formed and welded from CNC laser-cut steel, and the camera mount is milled from hard-anodized billet aluminum.
