They work by producing high crankcase vacuum, which increases power by improving ring seal, preventing blowby, and detonation. Allowing the use of lower-tension piston rings for less friction. These positive pumps are much more consistent and effective than header-mounted evacuation systems.

Moroso billet aluminum valve covers are CNC-machined from a billet aluminum bar to make them lightweight without sacrificing strength. Their airtight sealing allows the engine to pull greater vacuum for improved ring seal and power. The covers are available plain or with the Moroso logo, natural or black anodized—and mount with either a centerbolt or perimeter bolts. Moroso aluminum Tri-Lobe dry sump oil pumps have been developed with their decades of oiling system expertise to provide you with a lighter, better performing design that will save weight and make more crankcase vacuum. They feature Tri-lobe aluminum scavenge sections with individual timing gears to ensure proper clearance at the highest rpm. The pumps use a spur gear pressure section based on Moroso's highly successful billet wet sump pump design, and variable spring rates optimize your oil pressure for smooth, reliable oil pressure readings. Moroso Tri-Lobe dry sump oil pumps have multiple -12, or -16 AN scavenge outlet options, weigh about half as much as gerotor pumps, and take up to 40 percent less power to drive.
