COMP Cams oil filter cutters are designed to cut open any cartridge type filter, after use, for inspecting metal shavings and other bits of debris. These filter cutters give you access to the filter media, without introducing metal particles from the canister itself. The billet aluminum cutting wheel produces a clean debris-free cut as you twist the filter across it. Once the canister is opened, it is then easy to unfold the filter element for inspecting the filter media for contaminants. The engine oil is pressure fed to the phasers through passageways in the cylinder heads and cams. The engine computer's control solenoids that adjust this oil flow into and out of the phasers' control chambers, give the ability to retard the cams. While this technology provides fuel efficiency and the ability to always be in the best position for maximum power, regardless of engine rpm, it does present some limitations when it comes to performance cams. With such a wide range of valve timing movement, there is very little piston to valve clearance, which limits you to small cam profiles with little overlap.

These COMP Cams Hi-Tech 210 degree pushrods were specifically designed for high-lift applications where pushrod and seat interference are problems at maximum lift. They're heat-treated to a minimum hardness of 60 on the Rockwell C scale, for the ultimate in strength. COMP Cams even gives them a black oxide finish and imprints the length and part number on them.
