Nexen N'Fera Sport R Tires

The N'FERA Sport R is Nexen's Extreme Performance Summer tire developed for sports cars, performance sedans, and enthusiast drivers who participate in high performance driving events, autocross, and open track days. These tires are designed to raise the bar of performance, whether on the road or track—and, like all Extreme Performance Summer tires, they're not intended to be serviced, stored, or driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice. Engineered to provide motorsport levels of traction, the N'FERA Sport R's compound utilizes fine-grade and high-carbon black material, along with a higher filler loading. A larger contact area in the footprint helps increase grip and better distribute the intense load characteristics found in high performance driving environments. A solid-ribbed, asymmetric tread pattern helps ensure quick steering response, with the expansive outboard shoulder maintaining consistent cornering traction. Two circumferential grooves and systematically placed lateral notches help process water from the footprint for increased hydroplaning resistance during wet conditions. Internal construction of the N'FERA Sport R consists of a 2-ply polyester casing supporting twin, high-strength steel belts focused on increasing sidewall stability and responsiveness. Two nylon reinforcement plies further improve handling characteristics and help maintain high-speed capabilities.
