Bowler's lock-up modules only require one 2 amp fused 12 V wire to operate. No vacuum switch is necessary allowing these modules to function correctly with all types of engines, and there are no bulky boxes to hide or mount. The control modules have the GM 4-prong connector integrated onto the control board, and are epoxy coated to stay protected against the elements. Choose the kit designed for your transmission. Kits include: * Lock-up control module * Internal wiring harness with lock-up solenoid and mounting studs * Pressure switch * Pan gasket * New transmission filter * Case pass through connector * Brake light switch—standard that has a normally closed switch (for your lock-up module) and a normally open switch (for your brake lights). The brake switch does not have to be installed for the lock-up module to function, but will allow the driver to tap the brake to un-lock the converter at any time. The GM 6L80 and 6L90 TEHCM houses the transmission control module (TCM), or computer. The eight solenoids are connected to the TCM via a lead frame, all of which are over-molded in the plastic housing and not accessible or serviceable separately. Component fails and circuit faults in the GM 6L80 and 6L90 TEHCM are common, and result in drivability complaints and trouble codes which can only be remedied with a replacement unit.
