Samlex Switching DC/DC Converters

These Samlex America Switching DC/DC Converters offer high-efficiency switch-mode step-down DC/DC conversion. These SDC Series of down-converters change an input voltage of 24 VDC nominal; actually a range of 20 VDC to 35 VDC, to a highly-regulated output voltage of 13.8 VDC. These converters are non-isolated and provide no galvanic isolation between their input and output. Therefore, these units are meant for use in negative-ground systems. Features include overvoltage/short-circuit protection; temperature compensated current limiting, output-side overvoltage protection, input-side overvoltage/ transient protection and input-side reverse polarity protection. Some possible applications include industrial equipment, heavy trucks, buses, marine vehicles, mobile radio equipment, lighting systems and AM / FM / Audio systems.
