1:18 Scale 1933 Gasser Nitro Methane Acme Diecast Model

The "Nitro Methane" '33 Willys started life in Southern California and is a product of Dave Giordano. After making its way to Australia with an original chassis, the car had passed hands as a project a number of times, resulting in some crude workmanship—and signs of the body being stored and transported had taken its toll. Fortunately, the car ended up in the hands of Shaun Pask, who has resurrected many hot rods, drag cars, and street machines. After many exhausting hours of hard work, the Nitro Methane Gasser was turned into an awesome showpiece of Gasser history. This 1:18 scale Acme diecast model commemorates the legendary 1933 Gasser. The Limited Edition collectable features opening doors and trunk; removable front cowl; poseable steering; plumbed and wired engine; detailed undercarriage; and serialized plate.

1:18 Scale 1933 Gasser Prock & Howell Acme Diecast Model

Tom Prock and Jay Howell formed one of the most interesting and successful drag racing partnerships of the late 1960s. At the time, Howell was working at the famed Logge Stamping Company overseeing their shop. Logge was a very large volume producer of drag racing chassis at that time—and along with all of their other projects, a guy named Tom Prock had a 1933 Willys that he wanted updated. Instead of going the standard direction, the guys put a Logge funny car chassis under it and were quickly informed by NHRA officials at their first event that the car was not legal to run there or anywhere in the gas classes due to said chassis. They raced the car here and there in 1968 on the match race circuit and then figured it was all done. Then the phone rang in early 1969 and the boys decided to hitch up with a couple of other gassers, load a nitro burning 426 Hemi into the front of their car and travel the country as "outlaw gassers." The F-Troop '33 Willys is legend for wild runs with Howell at the wheel. The car went into the 180s and in various interviews, Howell said that the thing was a complete handful to get down the track at those speeds. We can only imagine. This 1:18 scale Acme diecast model commemorates the legendary 1933 Gasser built and raced by Prock and Howell. A Limited Edition collectable, the car features opening doors, hood, and trunk; removable top and boot; poseable steering; plumbed and wired engine; tilting front seats; detailed undercarriage; and serialized plate.

1:18 Scale Arlen Vanke East Town 1968 Plymouth Cuda Super Stock Diecast Model

"Akron" Arlen Vanke was a working man's drag racer. Competing--and winning--in the Stock, Super Stock and Pro Stock classes, he set records with Pontiacs and, later, Plymouths, earning multiple Stock Eliminator titles with both marques. Through it all, he built the cars in a backyard garage and often drove his open ramp truck to the track and back. In fact, Chrysler hired Vanke to test their performance technology. In 1967, Arlen modified the RO23 Hemi intake manifold for racing. "NHRA rules allowed racers to modify the intake manifold, so I made the stock manifold into a plenum chamber manifold, " he said. Vanke's Hemi, along with the Sox and Martin team, gave Mopars so many victories in the late '60s that they dominated the scene in Super Stocks. In 1968, he built this incredible East Town Hemi Cuda, which helped him win the Nationals in August at Indy running SS/B. He then reset the record again with a 10.61 at 140 miles per hour in the Plymouth Cuda in SS/A at the Winter Nationals in Pomona, California. Now you can own a 1:18 scale replica of the Super Stock race car. It features a diecast metal body, detailed interior, injected Hemi engine, opening doors, trunk and hood, poseable steering, and serialized plate. Only 500 of these Limited Edition collectables are produced. Add the legendary East Town car to your display case!

1:18 Scale 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W30 Berejik Olds Diecast Model

Dick Smothers, of the Tom and Dick Smothers comedy team, was the driving force behind their hit television series and their racing ventures. Willard Wright was credited with helping put Dick Smothers behind the wheel of an Oldsmobile in 1968, prior to the brothers going on to compete with this 350-powered SS/F Cutlass. Hurst's Shifty Doctor, Jack Watson, helped prepare the Smothers' car. With a cameraman and equipment on board, Dick netted a 12.99 on his third pass in the car. George Berejik received a call from the Smothers brothers' lawyer prior to the 1971 NHRA Nationals, telling him that he had been dropped by the Smothers and that the Smothers name and logo had to come off the car. The Berejik team went to Indy and paid $600 to have the name and logo removed. They finally got to the gates, where the Smothers were waiting and told them that the lawyer was misinformed and to get the lettering back on the car. Berejik then spent $700 to have the name repainted! The Smothers deal lasted until the end of the 1971 season, when Oldsmobile pulled the plug. Loyed "Woody" Woodland ran the F/SA at Maple Grove and banged off 11.60s on a 12.20 F/S record. This exquisite 1:18 scale 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W30 Berejik Olds diecast model is a must-have for avid fans of the both the history behind the '70 Oldsmobile 442 W30 Berejik Olds and The Smothers Brothers comedy variety show that became notorious for its topical satirical humor. 1:18 Scale 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle LS6 Red Alert Drag Car Diecast Model

For most of its 40 years, the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454 LS6 has been doing exactly what it was built to do: tear up the drag strip. Along the way, it's become arguably the most famous drag racing Chevelle ever, capturing the SS/DA class record in 1972 and setting an elapsed time of 10:75 at 123 mph on the way to winning Top Eliminator 14 of 16 events at Bradenton Dragway in Florida in 1976. Purchased new by A/FX racer Bob Hamilton as a Valentine's Day gift to his wife, the big-block beast was soon spending its Sundays at the local drag strip with Hamilton at the wheel. Sponsored by AMT and dubbed "Red Alert," it began its long and extremely successful career in 1971, setting the SS/DA national record during the 1972 season and owning the track record at New Jersey's Island Dragway for over two years. Hamilton sold "Red Alert" in 1976 to racer Terry Carney who, in 1990, partnered with Bill and Jan Stephenson to reintroduce the car to a new generation of fans and a new career in popular nostalgia drag racing. The car has since run the quarter mile in the low tens at over 130 mph. A true drag racing legend in every sense, the "Red Alert" Chevelle has always been expertly maintained and remains in splendid condition. It is almost entirely as Hamilton raced it, retaining its original sheet metal and interior and most of its original Cranberry Red paint. This replica 1:18 scale 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle LS6 Red Alert drag car diecast model features opening doors, hood, and trunk; poseable steering; detailed interior; tilting front seats; 454 wired and plumbed engine; drag wheels and tires; diecast metal body; fully detailed chassis; and serialized license plate. The collector's car is one of only 600 produced. Own a piece of racing history!
