They have 2-piece billet steel cam sprockets, which let you change cam timing without removing the degree wheel or releasing the valvetrain load, and there's no cam bushing to break. Timing can be varied from 6 degrees retarded to 6 degrees advanced. Chains are heavy-duty, double-row types with hefty 0.250 in. rollers. A one-piece roller thrust bearing handles unwanted end loads.

Developed by one of NASCAR's top engine builders, COMP Cams lifter bore grooving tools precisely groove your lifter bores to ensure that pressure fed oil is directly injected into the contact area between lifter and camshaft. This increased oiling significantly reduces wear on the camshaft and lifters, and minimizes the risk of premature failure during break-in. This machining operation to the block is quick, easy, inexpensive, and the best insurance for a new camshaft. The replaceable carbon cutters are available separately. Tools come complete with cutter and handle.
