COMP Cams oil filter cutters are designed to cut open any cartridge type filter, after use, for inspecting metal shavings and other bits of debris. These filter cutters give you access to the filter media, without introducing metal particles from the canister itself. The billet aluminum cutting wheel produces a clean debris-free cut as you twist the filter across it.
