Sonnax Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulator Valve Kits
GM 6L45, 6L50, 6L80 and 6L90 automatic transmission units may exhibit multiple line pressure and cooler/converter/lube flow problems due to excess wear in the pressure regulator bore. Deterioration at the balance spool end allows critical fluid loss, resulting in high line pressure, harsh shifts, and overheating due to reduced cooler/converter flow. Wear at the outboard spool robs converter feed pressure and lowers line pressure, resulting in soft shifts and burnt clutches. Installing a Sonnax pressure regulator valve kit restores the hydraulic integrity of these circuits for proper line pressure control in all ranges. A new pressure regulator valve outer spring is also included to replace weakened original springs and provide a modest 5 psi increase across the pressure curve. Sonnax Isolator Sleeve Kits
In listed GM transmissions, severe wear of the TCC regulator valve bore from the OE valve allows regulated converter apply pressure to exhaust. This is a primary cause for a TCC-related 1870 slip code and overheated converters. Exhausting apply pressure also diminishes line pressure, which results in burnt clutches. Excessive wear at the isolator valve bore reduces TCC apply pressure. Sonnax isolator sleeve kits (77754-ISO) in combination with Sonnax TCC regulator valve kit 77754-03K or 77754-04K allow you to restore hydraulic integrity of the apply circuit. Sleeves are manufactured from highly wear-resistant aluminum to provide full support for the valve and prevent side loading. Includes retaining ring and sleeve.
