Their cam buttons ride between the front of the timing gear and the back of the front cover and can be shimmed for proper endplay of the cam. COMP Cams Valve Seals
COMP Cams offers a complete line of valve seals, from the stock GM O-rings to the positive-stop PTFE seals. They are a must to keep unwanted oil from entering the combustion chamber through the clearance in the valve guides. The O-ring seals use the standard retainer and oil splash shield. The umbrella seals are normally used when a larger-than-stock diameter spring is used. In the case of a double spring, the positive stop PTFE seals are used. For triple-spring applications, use the smaller-diameter Viton® seals.

Competition Engineering Rod Ends
Competition Engineering rod ends are available in a number of sizes, in both right-hand and left-hand threads, and all come with jam nuts. Their all-steel bodies are available in low-carbon, chromoly, or forged steel. Competition Engineering highly recommends that you use chromoly rod ends exclusively with their 4-link and ladder-bar suspension kits, with polyurethane-lined types reserved for street applications with ladder bars. Forged-steel types are not recommended for the front points of 3 or 4-link suspensions. Their Magnum series chromoly rod ends are the best choice for ladder bar and 4-link applications.
