Stripped bellhousing bolts? The cause is usually the loose fit of standard Torx bits, which damage the bellhousing bolts during removal or installation of the bolts. The solution to this problem is Sonnax Torx Plus bits. Specially designed for removing 4L60E bellhousing bolts, Sonnax bits have a tighter fit with the drive head of the bolt, helping to avoid rounding out the bolt head or the bit, and prevent the bit from walking out of the bolt head. Sonnax TCC regulator and isolator valve kits assist in recovering hydraulic control and renew TCC performance. Severe wear of the TCC (torque convertor clutch) regulator valve bore, caused by oscillation of the OE valve, allows the regulated converter to apply pressure to your exhaust. This is a primary cause for TCC-related slip code and overheated converters. Exhaust pressure also diminishes line pressure, which can result in burnt clutches. Excess wear at the isolator valve bore reduces TCC apply pressure. Reconditioning the bore and installing a Sonnax TCC regulator and isolator valve kit will restore normal TCC operation by reestablishing the hydraulic integrity of this circuit.
