Mikuni 8 Series carburetor needles are high-precision and calibrated for an extremely accurate fuel flow rate. Designed to suit the Mikuni HSR Carbs, these jet needles are also suitable for Harley-Davidson® and other motorcycle applications. The jet needles are the tapered rods that are positioned in the throttle valve by the 'E'-Clip. The taper of the needle increases the clearance between the jet needle and the fixed needle jet outlet as the throttle is opened. As the air flow volume increases past the throttle slide, the fuel volume is also increased to maintain the correct air/fuel ratio. The Mikuni 8 Series jet
