The Weld Racing AlumaStar PRO features a gloss black forged 6061-T6 aluminum center paired with a polished cold-drawn aluminum shell and features an exclusive 18-bolt aero-design for superior clamping force, essential for handling 10,000+ horsepower applications. The wheels' modular design is specifically optimized for weight reduction to improve acceleration and rotational moment of inertia (RMOI). Top Fuel and Funny Car contenders have relied on the Weld AlumaStar PRO wheels for many years. These wheels have been so successful and durable in the Nitro classes that the world's first SFI 15.3 wheel has become a fundamental requirement in Pro Modified competition. A non-beadlock wheel version is also available exclusively for use with a "liner" tire.
