Reid Racing High-Steer Stud Kits

Reid high-steer stud kits are available for your Dana 44 and Dana 60. Several kits are available for each. The Dana 44 high steer kits are available in single, 3-stud, and 4-stud kits (the fourth stud is for Reid Racing knuckles) and each kit includes stud(s), and some kits will include nut(s), and cone(s). The Dana 60 kingpin high-steer kits are available in single, 4-stud, and 5-stud kits (the fifth stud is for Reid Racing knuckles) with studs made from black oxide coated 8740 chromoly. Dana 60 studs have a fine thread on both ends and are designed for tapered nuts.

Artec Industries High Steer Stud Kits

Finding the proper fasteners in your local hardware store can be a challenge—especially for automotive purposes. Instead, simply order Artec Industries high steer stud kits, the OE-style replacements needed for your Dana axle. Most of these steel studs have a black oxide finish, fine threads on both ends, and offer tensile strength up to 220,000 psi. (Some kits also include nuts and/or conical washers.) Remember, stock bolts are typically too short for high steer applications. Artec studs are sold individually or in multi-pack sets.

Artec Industries offers Ultimate 60 high steering arm fasteners for a variety of Dana 60 axle applications. These knuckle bolt kits work well with Artec's Ultimate 60 high steer arms to increase overall knuckle and steering strength—as well as provide options for mounting your steering. Whether you just need to reinforce your knuckles, or want to run your tie rods in double shear, these kits are designed to fit multiple steering configurations. Two kits are required for a pair of high steer arms, and cutting the sleeves in half is necessary to run Heim joints in double shear. Tie rod end holes on the knuckle need to be drilled to 3/4 in. diameter. Order the model that's best suited for your application.
