Snorkels are usually made of molded plastic and designed to be attached to a stock or aftermarket air filter box. From there, the snorkel extends through the hood or fender and up the windshield frame or A-pillar, where it is secured. Depending on the kit, body panel modification may be necessary to give the snorkel tube a place to pass through.
