Woodward Fab's planishing hammers feature rugged steel construction, so they're built well and designed to shape, form, stretch, and planish mild steel sheet metal, aluminum, and copper. These metal fabricating machines operate with standard shop air and feature a 19 5/8 in. throat depth to work to the middle of most panels. With quick-adjust anvil height/pressure, you'll be able to use these planishing hammers for fender manufacturing, street rod bodies, patch panels for auto restoration, repairs, metal sculpting, and more. Woodward Fab's planishing hammers include a 1 in., 2 in., and 3 in. radius anvil, air motor, floor stand, and a foot pedal that leaves your hands free to work.

Baileigh Industrial PH-24A pneumatic planishing hammers have a capacity of 16-gauge mild steel—with a large throat depth of 24 in. The 4 in. x 4 in. fully welded frame makes them very ridged for the most precise work; and the main shaft is made from stainless steel for long life. These machines are perfect for any shop, because they only require 90-120 psi to operate. Baileigh planishing hammers are capable of landing 4,600 blows per minute with enough power to handle almost any job. They include a foot pedal, air filter, oiler, and nine radius dies.

If you're into metal forming and shaping, a Baileigh Industrial MH-19 power hammer will be an asset in your shop. It runs on 220 V single-phase power and can transform from a rigid style to a spring slapping style, or even a very heavy-duty English wheel. When operating in the rigid mode, there is no give between the die heads. This machine is used for short stroke shaping and flanging. Tooling designs and profiles are endless, but some of the options are: mechanical shrinking, stretching dies, flanging dies, and louvers. The spring mode with "throw the die" causes a dead blow hammering effect. When in this mode, the total amount of pressure applied when the dies hit the metal is increased exponentially. This mode would be used for aggressive shrinking and planishing; many different tooling profiles can be used. The Baileigh power hammer uses an inverter to obtain various speeds for operation. Speeds range from 0 to 1,500 beats per minute, and speed is adjusted one of two ways: either with the operator-controlled foot pedal, or on the operator panel where he/she can lock in their speed. Another key feature of this equipment is the on-fly stroke adjustments, ranging from 0175 in. to .550 in. Also included: quick-release adjustment handles, a quick-change tooling system, tooling racks, one set of thumbnail shrink dies, one flat top, and one lower planishing die.
