Mishimoto air-to-water performance intercooler Power Packs include S55 Performance intercooler, heat exchanger, and charge pipe kit to strengthen weaknesses in the BMW's design. The Power Packs are offered in a choice of 12 BMW-specific color matching options or classic black, so your go-fast parts in the engine bay can now match the exterior beauty of your BMW. Mishimoto's charge pipes feature full-aluminum construction with a cast mid-section and matte black silicone couplers that can handle the boost pressure, unlike the factory plastic that can crack under pressure, or split at the seams, creating a less than ideal situation as you pilot your vehicle. Next, the non-descript box is replaced with a stylish, colorful air-to-water intercooler featuring a bar-and-plate core with increased core volume and a single-pass coolant flow layout for optimal heat transfer. Adding to both these improvements is Mishimoto's larger full-aluminum heat exchanger providing increased external fin surface area and core volume. Additional features and specs: * 12 degree F drop in intake air temperatures and 10 degree F reduction in global intercooler coolant temperatures * Dyno-proven average power gains of 11 WHP and 8 WTQ with peak gains of up to 31 WHP and 10 WTQ on Stage 1 tuned vehicle * Intercooler features unique bar-and-plate, single-pass coolant passage design, and cast aluminum end tanks for optimal flow and cooling capacity * Intercooler core volume increased by 29 percent with 16 percent improved flow * Heat Exchanger features all-aluminum construction with 180 percent increase in fin surface area and 60 percent increase in core volume * Heat exchanger includes optional stone guard for added protection against road debris * Heat exchanger utilizes variable fin pitch for improved flow to DCT cooler * Mishimoto lifetime warranty
