A hand-held car fire extinguisher is an indispensable piece a safety equipment for high-performance vehicles. Having an extinguisher within arms reach of the driver allows them to respond quickly and keep small fires from turning into big ones. Many racing sanctioning bodies require them, and they’re also ideal for off-road vehicles, race trailers, garages, work vehicles, and more.

Fire Extinguisher Classes

There are four classes of fire extinguishers, and each is formulated to put out different types of fires:

Class A: ordinary combustibles like wood and paper

Class B: flammable liquids like grease, gasoline, and oil
