DEI ONYX Series pipe shields provide two layers of exhaust thermal performance that outperforms conventional shields and looks great. The dual layers consist of an outer layer made from heat-treated glass fiber that is bonded with molten aluminum and then formed into a tight weave for durability and strength. The inner layer is made of a specially treated, high-temperature resistant fabric (89 percent silica) designed to withstand some serious exhaust heat.
