FASS Fuel Systems High Output Heater Disks
When the fuel temperature drops below 34 degrees F, the thermostatically controlled FASS high-output fuel heater disks will automatically power on. Fuel is then heated by the 300 watt heating element as the fuel is entering the FASS System, preventing gelling of the diesel fuel in the FASS filters. As the FASS continually polishes the fuel, it will heat the fuel in the fuel tank, further preventing gelling. Once the fuel reaches optimal temperature, the high-output heater disk will automatically power off, eliminating the possibility of overheating the diesel fuel.

The kits are specifically for use in Fleece Performance heated fuel filter kits installed on 2011-16 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke. FASS Fuel Systems Diesel Electric Heater Kits
FASS Fuel Systems diesel electric heater kits are designed to begin warming the fuel once the key is in the "on" position, and will automatically shut off once the fuel is at its optimum temperature. Dorman Diesel Fuel Heating Elements
Dorman diesel fuel heating elements are designed to prevent diesel fuel from gelling in cold temperatures. They heat the diesel fuel inside of the fuel filters to dissolve paraffin wax crystals. By converting electric energy to heat, the elements raise the diesel fuel temperature to appropriate levels to avoid pre-detonation of the fuel once it's injected into the combustion chamber.
