Cylinder walls with a superior surface finish will have a series of uniform "scratches" in a crosshatch pattern providing a bearing surface for piston rings and oil retention. When you need to check your honing crosshatch pattern, Total Seal crosshatch angle tool will make it easy. To use these clear plastic cards, line up the 0 (zero) line to top of deck and match lines inside cylinder to the lines on the card.
