With the installation an Improved Racing crank scraper and windage tray kit, you'll enjoy additional horsepower and improved oil control from your factory 3.622 in. or aftermarket 4.000 in. stroke LS engine. They reduce oil starvation by closely following the contours of the crankshaft and connecting rods to remove excess oil, ensuring oil is quickly returned to the bottom of the sump. The kits also reduce parasitic drag and windage losses caused by excess oil on the crank, reducing rotational mass and providing dyno-proven gains. Scraper/windage tray kits are available for most factory and aftermarket oil pan setups, and include a crank scraper (CNC-machined from 0.190 in. thick 6061-T6 billet aluminum) and aluminum windage tray (made from 5052-H32 aluminum) that provides more clearance for aftermarket rods than factory windage trays. The windage tray bolts directly to the scraper with self-clinching lock nuts instead of the main cap studs, so they can be installed without disturbing the alignment of the scraper. Additional "free" horsepower can be found by the installation of Milodon crankshaft scrapers. They'll remove any excess oil left on the crank and rods that the windage tray doesn't remove. The scrapers require fitting to individual crank and rod profiles, as well as to engine stroke. The wipers should be fitted to within .045 in. from rods and .035 in. from crank counterweights. When installed, the scrapers are sandwiched between pan rail and block.

Moroso crankshaft wipers are designed to remove excess oil from the crankshaft, making more horsepower. They are made of steel and are pre-fit for small and big block Chevrolet engines. The wipers will require minor trimming to get the necessary 0.045 in. crankshaft clearance.
