VP Racing Madditive Cool Down coolant additive improves the performance of your coolant and is safe for all radiator systems—ideal for racing, street, RV, and tow vehicle applications. It reduces cylinder head temperatures up to 50 degrees F! Cool Down increases coolant flow for better heat transfer, lubricates all vital components, and is approved by most race sanctioning bodies. One 16 oz. bottle of Cool Down treats cooling systems of 12 to 20 qts. For systems over 20 qts., one ounce of Cool Down is required for each additional quart. Designed for heavy-duty diesel engines that use more than 33 percent antifreeze, this treatment improves the ability of coolant to wet heat transfer by 50 percent. This provides significantly better coolant contact in the cylinder head, in turn reducing coolant and cylinder head temperatures by as much as 10-20 degrees F.
