Carburetor Scoops

Nothing says “hotrod” like a carburetor scoop! Affectionately called “mailboxes” or “bug-catchers”, carburetor scoops reach up through the hood to catch cooler air. They enclose the carburetor and are often seen on top of superchargers. Some have a screen across the opening, while others have butterfly valves for that authentic drag racing look.

Summit Racing also carries hood scoops. The difference is that hood scoops are part of the hood, while carburetor scoops attach to the engine.
